The Company

Our client has recently been awarded a 7-year contract for the maintenance and improvement of the Defence Built Estate, to include in excess of 20,000 assets.

They are a new business, formed to deliver infrastructure, asset, and facilities management services into the UK Defence Sector. They are a 50:50 Joint Venture between 2 already established big players in the FM and Utilities markets with over 55 years’ experience.

They are committed to enabling Defence capability through maintaining and enhancing the built estate in which our Armed Forces live, work and train.

The role

This role will assist current members of the Vivo Vetting Department in processing security clearance applications to enable operatives and contractors to gain access to MoD Establishments in order to carryout contracted works.

Key Duties:

Assess and process applications for Security clearances and applications

Handle all vetting enquiries both internal and external

Due to the important and sensitive data, must act with probity and integrity at all times

Will be expected to perform basic office duties as demanded by the job role which includes working with a database / spreadsheet, responding to communications, printing ID cards, recording and despatching them in a timely manner.

Could this be for you?

You will have basic understanding and ability with office based IT systems and processes and be an effective team player and support both the team and the business as a whole

Must be discrete and understand the need to protect both personal data (GDPR) and security data (MoD)

Vetting training will be given to the successful candidate.

Our client provides general Facilities Maintenance and Construction project work to the commercial sector as well as facilities maintenance services to the Public Sector and Private Sector at multiple sites. This role is a mobile position, working on Government and secure contracts.

This is a multi-site position where you have the potential to earn between £40-52k P/A Salary.

The position

You will be required to maintain and improve a consistent and level of service delivery, adapt procedures and processes with clear goals and reasoning as well as establish and maintain the clients and supplier’s relationship.

In addition, you will support the sites operations, primarily hard services, required on the PPM / Projects Schedule, while identifying improvements for the business through operations.

The company

You will be joining one of the leading FM organisations that oversees a major MOD contract across the UK. This company has recently received an increase in awarded works is therefore expanding across the UK.

The role

To manage the timely delivery of the Additional Works (Project) programme for area of remit, ensuring a high quality output and that all works are delivered within budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the effective, complaint and timely delivery of Additional Works in accordance with Government Regulatory and Statutory undertakings, complying with all Health & Safety and Environmental standards and policies.
  • Support and develop local Supply Chain relationships to ensure suitably qualified and experienced operatives are directed to relevant tasks to successfully deliver Additional Works
  • Monitor Supply Chain service delivery, quality and safe working to ensure all performance indicators are consistently achieved.
  • Review Risk Assessments and Method Statements to ensure they are to an acceptable standard
  • Ensure appropriate work plans and budgets are in place to achieve programmes and financial commitments, whilst meeting the changing operational need.
  • Support end users in the development of new work requirements and the provision of formal Additional Works project submissions
  • Organise and motivate a team of professionals ensuring that their objectives and performance jointly deliver the requirements of Additional Works on the contract
  • Comply with and manage the agreed system of reporting on the physical and financial progress of
  • Additional Works with area of responsibility, including planned milestone payments.
  • Manage cost and stakeholder expectation through excellent communication and sound commercial decisions to ensure value for money.

  • Degree Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering related discipline or equivalent experience
