Critical Facilities Shift Engineer

Location: West London

Reports to: Shift Supervisor

The Company

We are working with one of the fastest growing client side Data Centre companies in the EMEA region. With multiple sites already up in the West London area and more to come during 2022 there is a clear pathway for long term development given the number of sites coming online in the near future.

The Position

You would be working directly for the client and looking after a state of the art Data Centre facilities in West London. For this role you will be required to work as part of the continental shift engineering team. You will work closely with the day supervisor and the rest of the engineering team.

We are looking for someone with a good knowledge and understanding of Critical Mechanical & Electrical Equipment. As a key member of the engineering team, you will responsible for the inspection, operation and maintenance of all associated assets within the Data Centre, with a primary focus on relevant Electrical & Mechanical asset maintenance (Planned, Reactive and Corrective). Longer term there is the opportunity to develop into a HV Authorised Person for the site and you will actively contribute to the successful delivery of all critical works.

Could this be for you?

Qualifications & Knowledge

  • Experience in facilities, operations or engineering; ideally but not necessarily in a Datacentre critical environment
  • Demonstrable experience in operating and fault finding complex and integrated Electrical & Mechanical Equipment (generators, UPS, AHU’s, Cooling systems etc.)
  • Electrically or Mechanically qualified to a good level

Project Director

Project Director – Data Centres
West London

You will be working at the forefront of the Data Centre industry with a leading Main Contractor. Within this role you will be responsible for delivering multiple Data Centre projects across West London.

This is a role where you’d lead by example and acting as a representative of the company whilst ensuring that all projects are delivered successfully.

The Company

This company has been at the forefront of the Critical Engineering sector for over 15 years. They’ve got a strong commitment to provide cutting edge solutions for their clients Data Centre facilities.

The role

  • Successfully manage the completion of the project in line with the commercial plans to ensure targets are met.
  • Participate in bidding in tandem with the Business Development, to ensure bids are professional, profitable and successful.
  • Ensure that operational activities are in compliance with internal and external regulations.
  • Maintaining positive relationships with the project customer through efficient delivery of projects.

Could this be for you?

  • Main or Principle contractor experience.
  • Educated to a degree level (Construction or Engineering)
  • Attention to detail in regards to Health and Safety
  • Can manage multiple tasks at once.
  • Innovative and is able to identify new trends.
  • Experience within cost control.

Intermediate Quantity Surveyor

The company

You will be joining a forward-thinking main contractor based in West London who are renowned for being specialists in turnkey Design and Build, operating in the UK & Europe.

The position

As the Quantity Surveyor, you will primarily be responsible for the commercial management and administration of works / tasks as allocated, Projects and to manage the financial issues and apply cost control procedures related to the procurement and delivery of construction projects.

This is for a major new build infrastructure project near Hayes, West London.

Could this role be for you?

  • Must have a working knowledge of ECC, JCT & NEC contracts
  • At least 4 years site experience working on building and construction projects, ideally with values more than £1M
  • Working understanding of procurement practices and forms of main and subcontract
  • Good understanding of Cost / value process and reporting
  • Experience with a main contractor
  • HNC/HND/ Degree in Quantity Surveying
