Flexible UK Location -on site in Aldermaston 1-2 days per week
Permanent Role, Contract considered
£75-80k + Car + Bonus + standard Package

We’re looking for a proactive DV Cleared Engineering Manager to take ownership of technical delivery across a diverse portfolio of projects in the South of the UK. This is a pivotal role for a natural leader who thrives on team development, technical challenge, and driving project excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Leading and developing a team of skilled engineers across multiple bids and live projects.
• Ensuring the right engineering resource is in place and aligned with project needs and strategic growth.
• Acting as the engineering point of contact across the organisation and for clients.
• Supporting business planning and playing an active role in senior leadership discussions.
• Driving a culture of quality, safety, and innovation across the engineering lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage engineering resource allocation and succession planning.
• Liaise with project and bid managers to overcome technical challenges and provide expert solutions.
• Maintain and evolve engineering standards, systems, and documentation.
• Contribute to commercial discussions and support technical aspects of contract delivery.
• Promote the company’s engineering capabilities through external events, exhibitions, and professional networks.

What We’re Looking For:

• A degree or HND in an engineering discipline (Chartered status or working towards is a bonus).
• 10+ years’ experience in project delivery, ideally within decommissioning, waste management, or environmental remediation.
• Proven leadership experience and ability to manage cross-functional technical teams.
• Familiarity with QSHEW and ISO 9001/14001/45001 standards.
• Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• A collaborative, forward-thinking mindset.
