    Process/Senior Process Instrument Design Engineer- Nuclear (Contract)
    Warrington (Hybrid – 3 days on site)
    £46-£51/hour (Inside IR35) | Up to £56/hour for Senior Candidates
    37 hours over 4
    ½ days per week

    We’re supporting a key nuclear programme and are looking for a Process Instrument Design Engineer to join the Silos PFCS Supporting Projects E&I design team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-profile, safety-critical projects where your expertise will directly contribute to complex engineering solutions.

    The Role
    You’ll be responsible for delivering and checking high-quality design packages, ensuring they meet safety, functional, and business requirements across the project lifecycle.
    You will:

    • Deliver process instrumentation design from concept through to handover
    • Support and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
    • Review and check design documentation
    • Provide technical support to construction and commissioning activities
    • Mentor and support early career engineers

    Essential Requirements

    • HND (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline
    • Incorporated Engineer (or working towards)
    • Active SC Clearance
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Process Instrument Design Engineer on multidisciplinary projects
    • Strong understanding of engineering standards
    • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
    • Experience supporting both construction and commissioning phases

    Desirable Experience

    • 5+ years in Instrument & Safety Design Engineering
    • Experience across nuclear or similarly regulated environments (nuclear experience is essential overall)
    • Knowledge of:
      • Process Instrumentation
      • Radiometric & Special Instruments
      • Safety Systems
    • Familiarity with site-specific engineering standards
