Senior Mechanical Project Engineer – Preston

Based in Preston, responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of mechanical engineering works across wastewater infrastructure projects. Managing mechanical packages from design through to installation and commissioning, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and in accordance with client specifications, industry standards and quality requirements. Working closely with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers and client representatives to deliver complex wastewater treatment schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage mechanical installation works including pumps, pipework, valves, process equipment and associated mechanical systems.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and commissioning activities to achieve programme milestones.
• Review technical drawings, specifications, procurement schedules and resolve engineering queries.
• Ensure compliance with RAMS, QA procedures, ITPs and Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
• Monitor project progress, manage technical risks and support programme and cost reporting.
• Liaise with clients, designers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful delivery of wastewater projects.
