    Role Overview

    We are seeking an experienced Setting Out Engineer to support the delivery of civil engineering and infrastructure projects across Suffolk. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurate setting out, surveying and quality assurance, ensuring works are completed safely, to specification and within programme.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Carry out setting out using GPS, total stations and digital levels.

    • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

    • Establish and maintain site control and benchmarks.

    • Produce accurate as-built surveys and QA records.

    • Ensure works are delivered within specified tolerances.

    • Support earthworks, drainage, reinforced concrete, highways and infrastructure works.

    • Liaise with site teams, subcontractors and designers to resolve technical issues.

    • Comply with RAMS, ITPs, CDM Regulations and VolkerStevin health, safety and quality standards.

    Requirements

    • Previous experience as a Setting Out Engineer within UK civil engineering.

    • Competent using Leica or Trimble survey equipment.

    • Good understanding of engineering drawings, QA processes and construction tolerances.

    • HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

    • CSCS card and full UK driving licence.
