Gas Safe Engineer Responsible Person – Aldershot

We are recruiting for a Gas Safe Engineer Responsible Person to be based in the Aldershot Area. This role is to be a part of the MOD housing response and voids contract. This is a permanent role working full-time hours.
What will you deliver?

  • Quality audits, ensuring good working practice and gas regulations are being followed by all, working closely with the Head of Technical Service and Installation Field Managers to ensure we audit all engineers on a pre-planned rota and action any issues arising
  • New Gas Engineer Competency Assessments are required
  • Manage your own gas audit programme with support from management team
  • Develop and maintain new and existing client relationships
  • Complete high quality gas audit reports
  • Promote and maintain a high quality standard of gas work
  • Carry out both gas, plumbing and wet plumbing tasks on Domestic Heating Systems within residential dwellings and communal areas where required, also inspect gas distribution, Heating and water pipework serving the dwellings.
  • Service and maintain resident’s gas installation and appliances as per Manufacturer’s Instructions and be compliant / up to date with legislation and regulations, by completing a full inspection of all components installed at each residential or void dwelling.
  • Ensure Controls and heating systems are left working efficiently and correctly in a manner to reduce future breakdowns and failures of the heating systems in its entirety. Where this is not possible to report back the findings from the dwelling and ensure that the follow-on works are scheduled to be fitted within a reasonable time frame agreed with your line manager and the resident.
