The role

As the project manager you will be responsible for overseeing the M&E services on new build and refurbishment data centre projects. You will oversee the associated sub-contractors and work closely with the end client to ensure a successful delivery. You will have strong commercial acumen and experience delivering fast paced projects.

The ideal candidate will currently be working as a project manager within the critical environment sector.

They embody both experience and innovation. It combines a comprehensive track record delivering engineering, technical and FM services to the UK MOD for over 55 years with market leading FM, energy, asset optimisation and regeneration capabilities.

Currently they are looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager on a 6 month FTC.

The role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and ambitious Project Manager to play a pivotal role in the mobilisation to assist the Billable works team in the delivery of the Professional Services Strategy Ensuring all procurement activities and contracts are delivered professionally to time, cost & quality requirements. Promoting a ‘one team’ philosophy to ensure a positive Customer experience.

This is a new role on a FTC for 6 months only to assist on substantial programme of projects to a housing stock of 27,000 across the South of the country. You will be working for a new business, formed to deliver infrastructure, asset and facilities management services into the UK Defence Sector. It is a 50:50 Joint Venture between two well established leaders in the FM field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support assist and drive procurement of works, goods and services adhering to company Orders and procurement guidelines, UK legislation and EU regulations.
  • Lead on project delivery
  • Manage project team and ad hoc support staff
  • Ensuring all projects have a formal brief, specifications, procurement plans and tender documents, and is robustly managed, in accordance with the contract.
  • Build effective relationships, with key stakeholders, including Service family’s, DIO
  • Manage projects or term contracts within accordance with agreed budgets, timescales and quality criteria.
  • Ensure contractors are properly briefed, report progress regularly, delivering, value for money and customer satisfaction
  • To scope out works and provide accurate information
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures and delivery standards for managing the delivery including compliance with Health and Safety requirements including the CDM Regulations and Control of Asbestos Regulations.

Currently they are looking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor on a 6 month FTC.

The role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and ambitious Quantity surveyor to play a pivotal role in the mobilisation to assist the Billable works team in the delivery of the Professional Services Strategy Ensuring all procurement activities and contracts are delivered professionally to time, cost & quality requirements.

This is a new role on a FTC for 6 months only to assist on substantial programme of projects to a housing stock of 27,000 across the South of the country. This is a new business, formed to deliver infrastructure, asset and facilities management services into the UK Defence Sector. They are 50:50 Joint Venture between two highly successful FM organisations. You will deliver, embed and champion cyclical and timely strategic and operational plans to support success in delivering a commercially viable long-term future and financial contributions including specialist projects, planned preventative maintenance

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and continuously improve service areas as a centre of best practice by proactively managing the commercial team’s portfolio to meet the objectives of Vivo
  • Responsible for designing, developing and delivering commercial models and governance that drive the supply chain (goods and services) behaviours required to deliver business plan objectives
  • Devise and deliver long term procurement strategies for the division. To be responsible for ensuring tender documentation meets regulatory requirements and protects Vivo from risk while achieving objectives
  • Work collaboratively with managers in other business units and divisions to ensure consistency of approach on financial and commercial aspects of contract and project management. Providing expert advice on service delivery economics; delivering training on cost control and risk management; and improving the commercial awareness, understanding and compliance
  • Responsible for supply chain agreements, cost estimating and planning; cost intelligence and reports on supplier performance and progress; and commercial assurance.
  • Manage and deliver required outcomes for a portfolio of service functions and programmes, and provide high quality advice and support on service delivery requirements across all areas
  • Provide leadership, direction, and advice in dealing with significant and often sensitive negotiations and contract disputes. Collaborating with partners and applying negotiation strategies to set service priorities and ensure an integrated and co-ordinated multi-agency approach in delivering these operational services

Could this be for you?

  • You will have genuine knowledge and understanding of housing maintenance industry and service delivery.

  • Experience in dealing with a range of issues concerning contract and project delivery
  • Proven experience in managing/supervising staff
  • A qualification in a relevant construction, contract or property related subject would be desirable
  • Compliance and HSE Experience.

Key accountabilities

A new opportunity exists for a talented Administrator to join our professional and expanding management team. We are looking for an ambitious individual to be part of a dynamic team, focused on improving business opportunities and customer experience.

  • Proactively plan and co-ordinate the delivery of all planned workflow
  • Ensure that systems are updated within prescribed timescales.

You should have a proven record as an Administrator within a planned and maintenance environment. Highly motivated with a passion to succeed. Able to identify opportunities for advancing the organisation’s mission while maintaining an awareness of the business areas and associated risk
