The Position

We are currently looking for water industry/heavy industrial experienced electricians and electrical supervisors to work across Southern & Thames Water sites.

We have a need for the following. All in all we are looking for 2-4 people that can be contract to permanent or long term contract.


  • Industrial Electrician with Gold card (Not Domestic). Ideally experience within the water utility sector. The main experience required is doing SWA cabling, containment and glanding works.
  • Ideal qualifications are 17th/18th Edition, SSSTS (For Supervisor), EUSR Water Hygiene Card, Thames Water Passport, 2391 Test & Inspect

You would be working on Thames and Southern Water sites between the M3/M4 corridor and sites around the M25

Travel would be in a company van pairing up with another member of the team

Electrician – South East London and Kent

We are recruiting for an Electrician to be based in the South East London and Kent area. This role is to be a part of the MOD housing response contract. This is a permanent role working full-time hours.

What will you deliver?

Electrician for response maintenance contracts on MOD housing stock. The position will be mainly reactive maintenance and testing, covering sites in the South East London and Kent area.

Highfield Professional Solutions are working with a leading South Coast Water Contractor in the recruitment of a Site Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the site management of a range of projects and subcontractors on both clean and waste water sites. You will report directly to the Project Manager and support the project delivery team.

The ideal candidate will be qualified to a minimum of an ONC in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or be able to demonstrate suitable experience, you have a valid SMSTS + relevant Health & Safety qualifications.

As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for –

  • Preparing documentation before installations phases, such as Site management plans and RAMS.
  • Reviewing and approving documentation, such as RAMS, installations projects and testing and inspection documentation.
  • Managing and control of site activities in line with health & safety, environmental and contractual specifications.
  • Coordinating with the client and operational staff to manage KPI’s.
  • Working with Contract engineers and planner to review progress and programme deadlines.
  • Ensuring that client relationships are maintained and developed.

Highfield Professional Solutions are currently seeking a number of Project Managers to work for a Hampshire based contractor working within the water industry, the successful candidate will be responsible for a mixture of civil engineering and M&E and comprises of reactive maintenance, planned preventative maintenance and capex work. We work on multiple smaller schemes totalling £30m – £40m per annum

It is essential that you have a background in working on civil engineering contracts and you will previously have managed civil engineering projects Sewage Treatment Works.
