Job Title: Senior Site Agent
Location: Oxford / Didcot area
Contract: 12 months – Inside IR35
Start Date: Within the next 2-3 weeks
Rate: £400-£450
Overview
We are seeking a experienced Senior Site Agents to support major infrastructure projects in the Oxford-Didcot area, with individual project values ranging from £30m to £150m. These positions will play a key role in delivering complex works to programme, budget, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead site operations on large-scale highways and civil engineering projects.
- Oversee earthworks and utilities diversion activities, ensuring works are delivered safely and efficiently.
- Manage subcontractors, direct labour, and plant on site.
- Drive compliance with HSEQ requirements and company procedures.
- Liaise with the project manager, client representatives, and stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships.
- Ensure progress reporting, record keeping, and cost control measures are in place.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to site teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Agent / Senior Site Agent on major infrastructure schemes.
- Strong background in highways, earthworks, and utilities diversion works.
- Track record of managing projects with values in the tens to hundreds of millions.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Relevant industry qualifications (SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid; degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering preferred).
- Ability to mobilise quickly and hit the ground running.
