Job Title: Commissioning Engineer – Water Sector

Rate: £400 per day (Outside IR35)
Contract: Initial 6-month contract
About the Role:
Highfield Professional Solutions is seeking a skilled and experienced Commissioning Engineer to join our client’s team in the water sector. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects, ensuring the successful commissioning of water treatment and distribution systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the commissioning process for water treatment plants, pumping stations, and distribution networks.
- Develop and execute commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules.
- Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and optimisation to ensure systems meet performance specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with design, construction, and operations teams to identify and resolve issues.
- Document commissioning activities, including test results and as-built documentation.
- Provide technical support and training to operations staff.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards throughout the commissioning process.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Commissioning Engineer in the water sector.
- Strong understanding of water treatment processes, mechanical and electrical systems, and instrumentation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
- Flexibility to travel to various project sites as required.
