Location: Kent Reservoir Site
Rate: £450 per day
Contract: Outside IR35
Duration: 6-Month Rolling Contract

We are currently seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to support delivery works on a major reservoir project in Kent. This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term infrastructure scheme working within the clean water sector on a high-profile programme of works.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the commissioning, testing, and handover of mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring all assets are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with client specifications.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee commissioning activities across MEICA systems
  • Develop and implement commissioning plans and procedures
  • Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, and client representatives
  • Carry out functional testing, fault finding, and system validation
  • Ensure all commissioning documentation is completed accurately
  • Support pre-commissioning and handover activities
  • Attend progress meetings and provide technical commissioning support
  • Ensure all works are carried out in line with health & safety procedures and water industry standards

Requirements

  • Previous commissioning experience within the water or utilities sector
  • Strong MEICA commissioning background
  • Experience working on reservoirs, treatment works, or pumping stations preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • CSCS Card essential
  • EUSR Water Hygiene preferred
  • SMSTS or SSSTS advantageous
