Due to an ever-growing project book, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT Project Manager to join the team working on complex fit-out projects using structured cabling, including fibre and copper.

The role
As Project Manager you will be responsible for the control and delivery of customer projects of varying size and degrees of complexity. You will be accountable for ensuring that these projects are delivered, to scope, on time and within budget utilising project management disciplines, standards, and industry best practice.
Duties:

  • Use standard project management disciplines to plan, implement and deliver projects to scope, on time and within budget, with low risk and no surprises.
  • Negotiation with team leaders to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and accurately to ensure customer satisfaction and value for money.
  • Leverage the skills and capabilities of the Datacentre Managed Services team to deliver projects to required and agreed standards within challenging conditions and timescales.
  • Provide control and tracking documentation for all projects to enables accurate financial trading. Attendance at project meetings, e.g. early engagement, clarification calls, kick-offs, etc.
  • Produce project forecasts, resource planning, RAID logs and reporting.
  • Responsibility for customer engagement and satisfaction
  • Strategy planning for future projects

Could this be for you?
The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Good understanding of data centres and IT environments, or a minimum of 5yrs knowledge in this industry.
  • Evidence of effective procedure writing and LEAN methodology
  • Demonstrable understanding of Project Management and Project Control.
  • Knowledge of the IMAC process would be an advantage, as this can be complex process
  • Highly collaborative, demonstrating stakeholder engagement, effective leadership, results driven and personable across internal and external teams.
  • Confidence to challenge and influence project team members and senior management to ensure alignment with standards and best practices.
  • Proven capability to managing ever changing priorities, take ownership of challenges and solve problems across multiply conflicting project demands to ensure most effective and efficient resolutions.
  • A desire to exceed customer expectations.
  • Thorough understanding and proven experience with project management disciplines including PID’s, critical paths, RAID, resource planning.

Commissioning Engineer – WWTW

Highfield professional Solutions and are assisting a Tier 1 Contractor with the recruitment of several Electrical Commissioning Engineers on a WWTW in Southwest London. Reporting to the Commissioning Manager, you’ll effectively deliver the commissioning of wastewater and sludge treatment process plant from completion of construction through to successful Take-Over.

Your day to day will include:

  • Electrical inspection of cable terminations and glanding in the field and producing marked-up as-built electrical drawings.
  • Identify and resolving electrical issues through effective fault finding and troubleshooting.
  • Testing and commissioning of electrical power and ICA control systems including motors, setting up inverter drives, magnetic flow meters, pressure transducers, level instrumentation and valve actuators.
  • Functional testing of analogue and digital signals to the PLC and SCADA, as well as initial start-up and wet commissioning of pumps, blowers, gas boosters, sludge screens, mixing pumps and gas compressors.
  • Functionality testing of process plant as part of Site Acceptance Testing and completion of detailed commissioning reports to support Take-Over.
  • Ensure commissioning activities comply with Electrical Site Safety Rules and Health and Safety regulations.

This role of Electrical Commissioning Engineer is great for you if you:

  • A minimum City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 qualified and an ECS (JIB) Gold Card holder.
  • Experience in supervising electrical installation on capital projects with a minimum 4 day qualification in safety (such as IOSH, SSSTS or SMSTS).
  • Strong technical background in Electrical Engineering and experience of carrying out Authorised Person (LV) duties.
  • The ability to take full responsibility for producing, checking and completing inspection and test sheets and other necessary documentation required for Take-Over.

Highfield Professional Solutions are supporting a Tier 1 Contractor with the recruitment of a MEICA Project Manager to work on a WWTW near Twickenham.

As a Project Manager, you’ll provide leadership and management of resources to successfully deliver a programme section of the STW Project. Works are resilience and upgrade and of a Mechanical and Electrical, Utilities/Civils nature for AMP7 with a special focus on the digester area.

Your day to day will include:

Full responsible for the safety and commercial performance, including maintaining or bettering the contract programme.

Single point of contact for a section of works defined by the business.

Provide support to the team and be an active member of the wider leadership team to ensure world class coordination and cooperation across the project.

What are we looking for? This role of Project Manager is great for you if have:

Experience with Project Managing complex multi-million Mechanical & Electrical schemes.

Understanding of building within potentially hazardous atmospheres.

Understanding of construction involving live plant/processes and impact/mitigation.

HNC or higher in a relevant engineering or project management subject

Responsibilities
Highfield Professional Solutions are currently looking for an Electrical Supervisor / AP to work on a Sewage Treatment works. As the Electrical Supervisor you will be responsible for supporting our site teams with Electrical Supervision and Control of Electrical Isolation Works within the Sewage treatment works site, which is a project operating within the water industry.

Your day to day will include:

  • Providing electrical engineering expertise for industrial projects with particular emphasis on the water recycling industry.
  • Establishing client requirements and delivering the operation of engineering design solutions.
  • Engaging with the Supply Chain and supporting the contractor delivery and commissioning process.
  • Cooperate and coordinate with all stakeholders including the client-side, internal and supply chain to ensure the project outcomes are achieved.
  • Ensure all labour, plant, materials and supply chain resources are accurately recorded.
  • Support with work relating to financial forecasts and reviews with Commercial Team

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in supervising electrical installation on capital projects and carrying out Authorised Person duties.
  • Fully qualified electrician
  • Good knowledge of motor control centres including variable speed 690V and 420V and of control and instrumentation cable installation.
  • The ability to read electrical designs and ensure installations meet approved designs and identify when they don’t.
