The Opportunity We are thrilled to present a fantastic opportunity for a Petroleum Authorised Person to join our team on the MOD Estates contract. You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with JSP375 across all activities within your area of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the practical implementation and operation of JSP375 for timely delivery of additional works, planned, and response maintenance.
  • Ensure adherence to JSP375 requirements by all personnel within your area.
  • Assess and appoint skilled personnel, ensuring they are qualified for relevant tasks.
  • Produce top-notch Risk Assessments and Method Statements, issuing safety programmes and Permits to Work as needed.
  • Provide expert support and advice to the site team and end users.
  • Maintain accurate records in the CAFM system and ensure timely documentation of all tasks.
  • Manage projects and collaborate with the Billable Works team to meet required standards.
  • Review site risk registers, notify management of defects, and contribute to risk meetings.
  • Take ownership of personal training, maintain a logbook of site attendance and activities.
  • Identify opportunities to support MoD’s carbon reduction targets.

Is This Role for You?

  • Preferred: Petroleum qualifications (electrical or mechanical disciplines considered)
  • Highly desirable: Authorised Persons qualification, MOD/Defence sector experience
  • Required: Technical qualifications and training as perJSP 375, including:
    • Emergency first aid
    • Fire safety
    • Management level qualification in H&S and Environment (e.g., SMSTS)
    • Continuing Professional Development
