Job Title: Senior Site Agent – Reservoir Construction
Location: Oxford, UK
Rate: £550 per day (Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: 2-3 Years

Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Site Agent to lead and coordinate the delivery of a major reservoir construction project in Oxford. This is a high-profile, long-term role requiring a strong background in civil engineering, water infrastructure, and the ability to manage multiple teams and workstreams across all phases of construction.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Senior Site Agent, you will take a pivotal leadership role in the successful execution of the project:
Project Delivery & Construction Oversight

Take full responsibility for the safe and efficient delivery of all site activities.

Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of works in line with programme and budget targets.

Manage site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and all on-site personnel.

Lead the preparation and implementation of Project Management Plans, including quality, environment, safety, and wellbeing aspects.

Provide regular progress reporting and risk management updates to senior management and the client.
Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ)

Champion a zero-harm culture and promote best-in-class safety behaviours.

Ensure all activities comply with company and client health and safety policies.

Prepare and review RAMS, permits, method statements, TBTs, and NCRs.

Conduct and close out SHEQ audits, inspections, and incident investigations.

Manage temporary works and ensure all approvals and permits are in place.
Stakeholder & Subcontractor Management

Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, designers, local authorities, and the general public.

Manage specialist subcontractors and ensure integration with main works.

Coordinate with commercial and design teams to resolve technical queries and variations.
Documentation, Compliance & Continuous Improvement

Manage site documentation, design control, and document flow in line with project governance.

Drive quality assurance through inspections, checklists, and handover documentation.

Lead lessons learned sessions and support continuous improvement initiatives across the site team.

Ensure that all mandatory training and certifications are up to date for yourself and your team.
Key Requirements:

Degree / HND / HNC in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent).

Significant experience as a Site Agent or Senior Site Agent on major civil infrastructure projects, ideally within the water or reservoir sector.

Proven leadership capability in managing large multi-disciplinary site teams.

Strong technical understanding of civil and MEICA construction practices.

SMSTS Certification.
-
CSCS Black (Manager) Card.
-
NEBOSH or equivalent safety qualification.

Strong knowledge of temporary works procedures and permit-to-work systems.

Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
IR35 Status: Inside IR35 – paid via PAYE or Umbrella.
Working Hours: Full-time, site-based, Monday to Friday.
Duration: 2-3 year project.
