A specialist nuclear manufacturing company near Manchester is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to support the delivery of innovative engineering solutions within a regulated industry environment.
You’ll play a key role in the design, compliance and delivery of complex mechanical systems, including gloveboxes and similar engineered equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical engineering design and project delivery activities
- Support UKCA / CE Marking compliance and technical file generation
- Ensure engineering solutions meet safety and regulatory standards
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and project stakeholders
- Support manufacture, testing, installation and commissioning activities
What We’re Looking For
- Strong understanding of UKCA / CE Marking
- Experience within regulated engineering sectors
- Glovebox or similar specialist equipment experience highly desirable
- Knowledge of machinery regulations including PUWER, LOLER and CDM
- Strong leadership and technical coordination skills
- Nuclear experience preferred, but not essential
- Security clearance preferred, or ability to obtain clearance required
Working Arrangement

- Minimum 2 office days per week, ideally 3

A specialist nuclear manufacturing company near Manchester is looking for a Senior EC&I Engineer to support the design and delivery of complex engineering projects within a highly regulated environment.
This role will involve working on specialist systems and equipment, including gloveboxes and similar containment solutions, supporting projects from concept through to manufacture and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver EC&I design activities across concept, scheme and detailed design stages
- Produce and support technical documentation for UKCA / CE Marking compliance
- Ensure designs meet applicable safety standards and engineering regulations
- Support multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout project delivery
- Provide technical support during manufacture, testing and commissioning
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience with UKCA / CE Marking
- Experience within regulated engineering industries

EC&I Engineering Manager

A leading nuclear manufacturing company near Manchester is looking for an experienced EC&I Engineering Manager to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams across the delivery of complex projects within a highly regulated environment.
This is a senior leadership role, responsible for driving engineering delivery from bid stage through to project completion, ensuring compliance, quality and successful project execution. The role will support the development of specialist systems and equipment, including gloveboxes and similar containment solutions.
The Role
- Lead and manage multidisciplinary engineering teams across project delivery
- Act as the technical lead during bid and tender activities
- Oversee engineering scope, schedules, budgets and delivery strategies
- Provide technical direction and assurance throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure engineering solutions comply with UKCA / CE Marking requirements
- Manage engineering risk, compliance and configuration control activities
- Support manufacture, testing, installation and commissioning phases
- Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Mentor and develop engineers within the team
What We’re Looking For
- Strong background in EC&I engineering leadership within regulated industries
- Proven experience with UKCA / CE Marking and technical file compliance
- Experience working on gloveboxes or similar specialist equipment highly desirable
- Good understanding of Machinery Directive, PUWER, LOLER, CDM and associated standards
- Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and project delivery
- Ability to manage engineering scope, risk, quality and programme requirements

Job Title: Site Agent / Site Manager (Contract)
Location: Northwest England, Lytham
Contract Length: 6 months (contract role)
Start Date: Immediate
Rate: Approx. £400 per day (Outside IR35 / CIS)
Working Hours: 48-50 hours per week
Overview
An immediate requirement has arisen for an experienced Site Agent / Site Manager to support ongoing water infrastructure projects across the Northwest. This role is to cover a short-term resource gap and offers a 6-month contract with the potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee site operations on projects involving above-ground tanks
- Manage works including concrete piling and reinforced concrete (RC) bases
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors delivering piling and associated works
- Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification
- Liaise with project stakeholders and maintain site documentation
Project Details
- Projects involve construction of above-ground tanks with associated civil works
- Work is being delivered within a water/utilities environment
Requirements
- Valid SMSTS certification
- First Aid certification
- Proven experience with:
- Concrete piling
- Reinforced concrete (RC) bases
- Subcontractor management
- Background in water or utilities projects preferred
