Location: AWE, Reading, UK
Contract: Initial 6-Month Contract
Rate: £61.66 per hour (Inside IR35)
Additional Benefits: £100 per day for travel/accommodation (subject to tax)

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled EC&I Engineer to join our team at the Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE) in Reading. This role offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work on critical projects within a high-security environment. The position involves working on a rotation of 11 days on, 3 days off, with 10-12 hour shifts.

As an EC&I Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electrical, control, and instrumentation systems. Your work will ensure the reliability and safety of vital infrastructure, contributing to the overall success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop EC&I systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct testing, commissioning, and maintenance of EC&I systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to electrical and control systems.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver project goals.
  • Prepare detailed documentation and technical reports.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an EC&I engineering role, preferably within a highly regulated environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and control system design and maintenance.
  • Ability to work on a rotating shift pattern, including long hours.
  • Must be able to obtain security clearance if not already in place.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

Site Quality Engineer

Position: Quality Engineer

Duration: 6 Months
Work Schedule: Full-time, site-based role – 11 shifts on, 3 shifts off
Rate: £54.15 per hour Umbrella / (Inclusive of £5.00 per hour shift enhancement)
Project: Nuclear Project in Reading
About the Role: Join our team as a Quality Engineer on an exciting nuclear project in Reading. This full-time, site-based role involves a rotational shift pattern of 11 shifts on followed by 3 shifts off.
Requirements:

  • Security Clearance: Eligible for SC Clearance (BPSS to start, SC in motion).
  • Residency: Lived and worked in the UK for the last 5 years.
  • Proven experience as a Quality Engineer, preferably in the nuclear industry.
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance/quality control standards
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
