We are currently recruiting for a Pre-Construction Manager to join their team covering Porton Down.

The role

The role of the pre-construction coordinator is to aid the project teams in the review of project pre-construction information and help identify deliverables of the projects. The role will also be responsible for the management of CDM activities and Principal contractor / principal designer requirements. To act as a conduit between the client CDM advisory capability and our internal projects team.

Key duties:

  • Review of client pre-construction information to help influence development of project scope and deliverables
  • Review and approval of project construction phase plans
  • Understand and challenge technical documents relating to design and construction
  • Recommend if additional external resources are required to support the project deliverables
  • To review RIBA stage designs submitted by subcontractors or the client and provide feedback
  • When required help with the development of designs into later stages
  • Lead in the application of the principal designer requirements within each project
  • Working with the project managers, ensure all principal contractor and principal designer requirements are met
  • To help review and manage project safety controls and coordinate project safety inspections and identifying trends for improvements
  • To act as a liaison between external bodies (building control, DFSA etc..) to ensure correct communications established between projects

Could this be for you?

  • An ability to deliver results, with a minimum of supervision, to meet agreed output dates
  • Experience of working in a Facilities Management environment, or within a team constructing new building projects, will be an advantage
  • A qualification at ONC, or equivalent NVQ level, in a construction or building services subject will be an advantage

This role will be fundamental in the delivery of a substantial programme of projects to a housing stock of 27,000 across the South of the country.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and ambitious Project Manager to play a pivotal role as part of the Billable works team in the delivery of the Professional Services Strategy.

Ensuring all procurement activities and contracts are delivered professionally to time, cost & quality requirements. Promoting a ‘one team’ philosophy to ensure a positive Customer experience.

The role

* Lead on day-to-day project delivery

* Manage team of main contractors to deliver programmes of work.

* Ensure all projects adhere to a formal brief, specifications, procurement plans and tender documents, and are robustly managed, in accordance with the contract.

* Build effective relationships, with key stakeholders, including Service family’s and DIO

* Monitor and manage monthly spend for projects for which you are responsible.

* Manage projects or term contracts in accordance with agreed budgets, timescales and quality criteria.

* Ensure contractors are properly briefed, report progress regularly, delivering value for money and customer satisfaction and core values.

* To scope out works and provide accurate information when required.

* Ensure compliance with policies and procedures and delivery standards for managing the delivery, including compliance with Health and Safety requirements including CDM Regulations and Control of Asbestos Regulations.

* To provide regular reports on contract management activities as required, including contract effectiveness, contract compliance & contract performance.

* Ensure all projects are delivered to construction programmes.

The role

Job Purpose

Due to exciting growth opportunities we are looking to employ a Senior Project Manager who can combine strategy development with tactical delivery to lead and deploy operational activities at our customer site.

To oversee and lead the delivery of individual and or multiple building services related to major projects within allocated budgets and defined programmes

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Be the main point of contact for Major projects
  • Attend the client’s monthly Capital Review meeting

Your role is to repair and service M&E Equipment, manage priorities within the contract restraints and participate in a on call rota.
