The Position

The Senior Project Manager will sit within the projects team and be responsible for numerous large scale and complex Data Centre projects. The position requires someone that is able to work autonomously but within a set process and structure. The most important factor in your application being considered is your ability to work with and influence internal and external stakeholders to get projects completed in a timely fashion and to the highest possible standard. This role will be mainly looking after new build projects but as they come up may also involve upgrade and lifecycle works.

  • Strong experience working on Data Centre projects.
  • Capability to lead and develop project teams.
  • A strong background and knowledge of the construction of large scale data centres.
  • Demonstrable experience in dealing with multiple stakeholders and running a complex projects process
  • Educated in electrical, mechanical or construction management.

We are working with one of the fastest growing client side Data Centre companies in the EMEA region. With multiple sites already up in the West London area and more to come during 2022 there is a clear pathway for long term development given the number of sites coming online in the near future.

The Position

You would be working directly for the client and looking after a brand new state of the art Data Centre facility in Slough. For this role you will be required to work as part of the continental shift engineering team. You will work closely with the day supervisor and the rest of the engineering team.

We are looking for someone with a good knowledge and understanding of Critical Mechanical & Electrical Equipment. As a key member of the engineering team, you will responsible for the inspection, operation and maintenance of all associated assets within the Data Centre, with a primary focus on relevant Electrical & Mechanical asset maintenance (Planned, Reactive and Corrective). Longer term there is the opportunity to develop into a HV Authorised Person for the site and you will actively contribute to the successful delivery of all critical works.

Qualifications & Knowledge

  • Experience in facilities, operations or engineering; ideally but not necessarily in a Datacentre critical environment
  • Demonstrable experience in operating and fault finding complex and integrated Electrical & Mechanical Equipment (generators, UPS, AHU’s, Cooling systems etc.)
  • Electrically or Mechanically qualified to a good level

Project Manager – Data Centre

The company

You will be joining a forward-thinking main contractor based in West London who are renowned for being specialists in turnkey Design and Build, operating in the UK & Europe.

The position

As the Project Manager, you will oversee every aspect, including the planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure. You will ensure that timeframe targets and budgets are met.

This is for a major new build infrastructure project near Ealing, West London.

Could this role be for you?

  • Must have a working knowledge of ECC, JCT & NEC contracts
  • At least 8 years site experience
  • Good understanding of steel frame/concrete projects

  • HNC/HND/ Degree ideally

The Position

We are looking for a well experienced Data Centre Facilities Manager. This role will take ownership of the overall running of the Data Centre site. You will have an Engineering Manager beneath you who will deal with the day to day operational needs of the site, freeing you up to take on a more strategic and proactive approach.

This role would be ideal for someone from a strong technical (M&E) background as you will be required to hold technical conversations with customers and support the team directly as required. This is a great opportunity for someone that wants to take ownership of a site and develop a strong team ethos within it.
