Contract: 6-Month Rolling Contract
Rate: Up to £400 per day (Inside IR35)
Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our team at a wastewater treatment site in Taunton, Somerset. This role is crucial for overseeing mechanical operations and ensuring the smooth execution of projects within the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the mechanical team, ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records, including progress reports and documentation of any issues or incidents.
- Assist in the planning and scheduling of work to optimise resource use and minimise downtime.
Requirements:
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification is mandatory.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor, preferably within the wastewater or water treatment industry.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and processes related to wastewater treatment.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
