The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in setting out and highway construction, as well as proficiency in using Trimble GPS equipment. This role requires a meticulous professional who can ensure the accurate implementation of design specifications and alignment of structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and implement complex engineering drawings and plans for highway construction.
  • Utilize Trimble GPS equipment to establish reference points and guide the positioning of structures.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to project specifications.
  • Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and other engineers to resolve technical issues.
  • Prepare detailed site reports and maintain accurate records of all setting out activities.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure the precision of all construction works.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer on major highways projects.
  • Proficiency in using Trimble GPS equipment.
  • Valid CSCS card.
  • Safety critical medical certificate.
  • Strong understanding of highway construction standards and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and plans.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Site Supervision: Coordinate and supervise the work of subcontractors and site personnel, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Planning and Coordination: Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and resource allocation. Work closely with the project manager and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
