The Position

The Technical Services Lead will be working on this growing Data Centre Campus in the South West of the UK. This position will play a key role in being that point of escalation for any of the technical issues on site alongside strong management of the contractor that undertake and manage directly the maintenance teams. The role is looking for someone who can wear multiple hats and work collaboratively with the service provider on site while at the same time being responsible and having the final say and sign off on all technical developments and works.

Could this role be for you?

Experience relevant to the role:

  • Strong experience working on Critical Facilities or Data Centre sites and having a sound knowledge of day to day operations and engineering tasks
  • A strong background and knowledge in Electrical and/ore Mechanical works (HVAP switching experience advantageous but not essential)
  • Demonstrable experience in design or use of Critical Facilities MEP infrastructure and related equipment

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of Data Centre operations
  • To be used to managing a contractor on site
  • Be able to lead the site in terms of technical developments and advances

The role

The Operations Manager will be directly responsible to the General Manager for the management of the delivered services for the contract (soft services).

Responsibilities

  • Services Remit: Administration, Logistics, Motor Transport, Living and Lifestyle and Helpdesk
  • To act as the senior management representative for the contract for Soft Services
  • To routinely complete process audits to ensure compliance to our agreed processes. Review and amend all processes where required (through change), with assistance from compliance manager.
  • Management, co-ordination, and liaison of the principal sub-contracts employed on the contract ensuring that regular process and performance meetings are held, and minutes retained.
  • To assist in the management of the Profit & Loss regarding subcontracts, administration, Motor Transport and Logistics services ensuring at all times that tight financial control is maintained. Reporting to the Commercial Manager.
  • Undertaking of regular quality site checks and leadership tours reporting on Health safety and wellbeing, work progression, workmanship, process adherence and service delivery standards to a set and agreed programme.

We are recruiting for a Maintenance Supervisor to be based in the Lyneham, Bath and Bristol areas. This role is to be a part of the MOD housing response contract. This is a permanent role working full-time hours.

What will you deliver?

  • To supervise and manage on a day to day basis the operation of the voids re-servicing / refurbishment service.
  • Responsible for the activities of a team of operatives and ensuring safe delivery by sub-contractors.
  • Ensure that the work undertaken by operatives and sub-contractors where applicable is satisfactorily completed within the cost and priority constraints of the contract. To control the costs of such items as work hours, equipment, vehicles, stock and tools, thus minimising wastage and avoidable expenditure.

The role

Project Manager – Vivo Defence

As Project Manager you’ll work on a wide range of new projects within the construction sector. You can be working on several projects at any one time dependent upon the scale and complexity of the project. In this highly varied and interesting role you take the lead of projects such as installing a new roof on a building, refurbishment of staff accommodation to full brand-new building construction. Reporting into a Senior Project Manager for the Billable Works team you’ll be responsible for the planning, management, coordination, and financial control of projects, ensuring the appropriate governance is applied. You’ll ensure the project lifecycle is maintained at all stages and completed on time, within budget and that agreed objectives & KPI’s are achieved.

What you’ll need to do the role:

You’ll need former Project Management experience, you can evidence involvement at every stage from proposal through to delivery. We are looking for someone who has hands on experience managing high profile projects from inception to completion. You will have excellent communication and influential skills, you will lead by example and manage those around you to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Security clearance is required for our sites, successful applicants will be expected to achieve either BPSS or SC clearance as a condition of appointment into the role.

Technical Responsibilities

  • Oversee the effective, compliant and timely delivery of Billable Works in accordance with Government Regulatory and Statutory undertakings, complying with all Health & Safety and Environmental standards and policies.
  • Monitor Supply Chain work teams to ensure suitably qualified and experienced operatives are directed to relevant tasks and ensure that all operatives have appropriate vehicles, equipment and skills to perform relevant tasks.
  • Monitor Supply Chain service delivery, quality and safe working to ensure all performance indicators are consistently achieved.
  • Review Risk Assessments and Method Statements to ensure they are to an acceptable standard
  • Confer with local DIO representatives, the Local Customer Service Representative and the relevant Site Manager to agree scope & priorities of Billable Works on a regular basis.
  • Ensure appropriate work plans and budgets are in place to achieve programmes and financial commitments, whilst meeting the changing operational need.
  • Record all tasks against the appropriate assets in the CAFM system, including work in progress and completed job inspections, and ensure all documentation relating to Billable Works are completed, recorded and distributed in a timely manner.
  • Review site risk registers, follow management processes and notify Management of any defects on equipment or systems.
  • Ensure, as far as reasonably practical, that all persons on site observe the requirements of JSP 375, work closely with the Mobile Authorised Persons team to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with the Asbestos register and management plan and the Legionella management plan.
  • Identify opportunities on establishments that will support the MoD’s carbon reduction targets.
