Job Title: Site Engineer – Large Underpass Project
Location: Hull
Contract Duration: 3-6 Months
Rate: £400-£450 per day (Inside IR35)
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Site Engineer to join our team for a critical infrastructure project in Hull. This role involves working on a large underpass project, with a focus on reinforced concrete structures and highway works. The position requires flexibility to work both day and night shifts, ensuring the project progresses smoothly and meets all safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage site activities related to the construction of a large underpass, including reinforced concrete works and associated highway infrastructure.
  • Ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and health and safety regulations.
  • Work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and other engineers to coordinate daily and nightly site operations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure the accuracy of construction and adherence to design plans.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the construction team, troubleshooting any issues that arise during the project.
  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily reports, progress updates, and any incidents or near misses.
  • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Ensure that all works are completed within the agreed timeframes and budget.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer, with a strong background in highway projects and reinforced concrete structures.
  • Previous experience working on large infrastructure projects, particularly underpasses or similar structures, is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations, especially in relation to highway and night-time construction work.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage site teams and coordinate with other project stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to work a mixture of day and night shifts as required by the project schedule.
