    Job Overview:

    Highfield Professional Solutions is seeking a skilled ICA Technician to join our team on the Southern Water framework. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with experience in instrumentation, control, and automation (ICA), particularly within the water industry. The role offers a competitive hourly rate of £33 per hour, Inside IR35, with a 6-month rolling contract.

    As an ICA Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems at various Southern Water sites. This is a key role in ensuring that critical water infrastructure is operating efficiently and to the highest standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Commissioning of ICA systems across Southern Water sites, ensuring all systems meet operational requirements.
    • Installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and instrumentation systems, including PLCs, SCADA, and telemetry systems.
    • Carry out diagnostic work and fault-finding on automated control systems.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations at all times.
    • Work closely with project teams to deliver solutions within set timelines and budgets.
    • Maintain accurate records and documentation of commissioning and maintenance work.

    Candidate Requirements:

    • CSCS/ECS card and EUSR certification are essential.
    • Must be a qualified electrician with a solid background in ICA systems.
    • Previous experience in the water industry is highly desirable.
    • Strong understanding of the commissioning process and the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site.
    • Experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, and control panels.
    • Knowledge of current electrical standards and regulations.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
