Rate of Pay:
- Umbrella PAYE: £300 – £350 per night
Working Hours: 8pm – 6am
Job Responsibilities:
The Traffic Management Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing traffic management and the safe delivery of highway projects on high-speed roads, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project timelines. Key responsibilities include:
- Supervise and coordinate traffic management activities on the A49 highway improvement project.
- Ensure compliance with Principal Contractor’s obligations under the CDM Regulations 2015.
- Oversee the successful delivery of construction projects within budget and time constraints.
- Liaise with team members and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery, particularly under restricted site availability (e.g., nighttime working).
- Problem-solve in real-time to address project challenges.
- Promote and drive collaborative work in a partnering environment.
- Maintain health and safety standards on-site and perform risk assessments.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- SSSTS Certification: (CITB Site Supervisor’s Safety Training Scheme – 2 days).
- Black CSCS (Supervisory) Card: Required.
- Experience in delivering Principal Contractor’s obligations under the CDM Regulations 2015 and acting as Supervisor under the NEC.
- Strong knowledge of highway renewals, high-speed roads, and technology schemes.
- Proven track record in successfully managing construction projects with tight deadlines and budgetary constraints.
- Problem-solving skills, commitment, adaptability, and drive.
- Positive attitude and ability to foster collaborative working.
