About the Project

We are seeking an experienced Sub Agent with a strong background in highways to join our team on a freelance basis. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing site operations, ensuring effective coordination, and driving the successful delivery of this landmark project.
Key Responsibilities

Site Management:
- Manage daily site operations, ensuring alignment with project schedules and specifications.
- Lead and oversee site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient project delivery.

Planning and Coordination:
- Develop and implement short-term programs to support project milestones.
- Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, and design teams to address technical challenges and optimize workflows.

Quality Control:
- Monitor and enforce adherence to quality standards, ensuring works are delivered in accordance with design specifications and project requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain high levels of quality and compliance.

Health & Safety:
- Promote a culture of safety on-site, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Conduct site inductions, risk assessments, and toolbox talks to reinforce safe working practices.

Technical Problem Solving:
- Provide technical support to resolve issues arising during construction.
- Act as the key liaison between the project manager and site teams to address technical queries and challenges.

Stakeholder Engagement:
- Communicate effectively with clients, design teams, and external stakeholders to provide progress updates and resolve issues.
- Represent the project in site meetings and briefings.
Qualifications and Experience

Educational Background:
- Degree or HND/HNC in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience:
- Significant experience in highways or infrastructure projects, with proven ability to lead and manage site operations.
- Knowledge of highways construction processes, including earthworks, drainage, and structures.

Skills:
- Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in using AutoCAD and other relevant software.
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and quality assurance processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Certifications:
- CSCS card (essential).
- SMSTS (essential).
- First Aid at Work (desirable).
