    Project Manager – Sewage Treatment Works (United Utilities)
    12-Month Contract | £400-£500 per day | Ltd Company / Outside IR35

    We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of a Sewage Treatment Works (STW) project within the United Utilities framework. This is a 12-month contract opportunity offering a competitive day rate and the chance to work on a major infrastructure scheme within the water sector.

    The Role

    As Project Manager, you will take responsibility for overseeing the safe and successful delivery of works from inception through to completion. You will coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure programme, budget, and quality objectives are achieved.

    This role would suit someone with a strong background in civil engineering, utilities, or water infrastructure projects who is comfortable managing operational delivery in a live environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead day-to-day project delivery on site
    • Manage programme, cost, and resource allocation
    • Ensure health, safety, environmental, and quality standards are maintained
    • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal delivery teams
    • Chair progress meetings and provide regular project updates
    • Identify and mitigate project risks and delays
    • Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships throughout delivery
    • Ensure works are delivered in line with contractual requirements

    Requirements

    • Proven experience as a Project Manager within infrastructure, utilities, or civil engineering
    • Previous experience delivering water or wastewater treatment projects preferred
    • Strong understanding of NEC contracts and project controls
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
    • SMSTS and CSCS required
    • Relevant engineering or construction qualification preferred
