Are you an experienced Cost Engineer looking for your next high-profile contract? This is an opportunity to join a major UK defence infrastructure programme, supporting the delivery of complex, safety-critical projects in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment.
Working as part of an established Project Controls team, you’ll play a key role in developing and managing project budgets, monitoring costs, forecasting financial performance, and providing accurate reporting to support successful project delivery. The role involves cost planning, change control, earned value management, forecasting, risk and opportunity management, and working closely with project and commercial teams throughout the project lifecycle.

    What’s on Offer?

    • £75.73 per hour Umbrella
    • 26-week contract
    • £100 per day travel allowance for workers travelling more than 30 miles to site (for each day travelled)
    • Opportunity to work on one of the UK’s most important defence programmes

    We’re Looking For
    You’ll ideally have:

    • Significant experience as a Cost Engineer within major engineering, infrastructure, nuclear or defence projects.
    • Strong knowledge of cost control, forecasting, budgeting, change management and earned value management.
    • Experience supporting projects through the full lifecycle, from planning through to close-out.
    • Excellent stakeholder management and reporting skills.
    • Experience using project controls and cost management systems in complex environments.

    Essential Requirements

    • Eligible for SC Security Clearance (you can start on BPSS, provided your SC clearance is in progress).
    • Must have lived and worked in the UK continuously for the last 5 years.
    • Valid CSCS or ECS card before starting.

If you’re an experienced Cost Engineer looking for a long-hours contract with excellent earning potential and the chance to contribute to a nationally significant programme, we’d love to hear from you.
