Operational Project Manager (Logistics) – Major Infrastructure
Heathrow Airport | Full-Time Site Based
£450 per Day | Umbrella PAYE
Long-Term Contract | Immediate Start
We’re recruiting for an experienced Operational Project Manager to support the delivery of a major infrastructure programme at Heathrow Airport.
This is a hands-on role leading all construction logistics, material movements and site operations across a live operational environment, working closely with project teams, subcontractors and key stakeholders to ensure safe and efficient delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all construction logistics and operational delivery activities.
- Manage site logistics, material movements and waste management.
- Coordinate deliveries, compounds and traffic management.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors and supply chain partners.
- Oversee on-site logistics teams and plant operations.
- Monitor logistics performance, reporting and workforce planning.
- Ensure all activities meet project, safety and programme requirements.
Essential
- Previous experience as an Operational Project Manager, Logistics Manager or Construction Manager on major infrastructure projects.
- Strong background managing logistics on complex, live construction environments.
- Experience coordinating Tier 1 contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Excellent planning, stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong commitment to Health & Safety and operational excellence.
Desirable
- Previous Heathrow or airport project experience.
- Experience delivering projects in live operational environments.
- Knowledge of logistics planning, traffic management and site operations.
