Site Agent / Site Manager – Sewage Treatment Works

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Agent / Site Manager to join a major sewage treatment works project in St Albans.

This is an excellent opportunity for a site-based professional with experience delivering water, wastewater, sewage treatment or other major civil engineering projects.

You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards, while coordinating site teams, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site activities and site teams.

• Coordinate subcontractors, labour and site resources.

• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with the programme.

• Maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.

• Monitor quality and ensure works are completed to specification.

• Liaise with the Project Manager, engineers, subcontractors and client representatives.

• Review RAMS, permits and other relevant site documentation.

• Monitor progress and provide regular updates to the project team.

• Identify and resolve issues arising on site.

• Maintain accurate site records and documentation.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Site Agent, Site Manager or similar.

• Experience working on water/wastewater, sewage treatment works or major civil engineering projects.

• Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements.

• Ability to manage subcontractors and site teams effectively.

• Strong communication and organisational skills.

• Relevant site management qualifications/certifications.

• SMSTS is required.

• CSCS is required.
