      Senior Construction Manager – Nuclear

      Location: Manchester – Hybrid (3 days office / 2 days remote)
      Rate: £65-£70 per hour, Outside IR35
      Contract: Long-term contract
      Start: ASAP

      The Role

      We are looking for an experienced Senior Construction Manager to lead construction delivery across a major engineering programme. You will act as the senior technical authority for construction, ensuring works are delivered safely, to design, programme and contractual requirements.
      You will lead multidisciplinary construction teams and work closely with project management, engineering, commercial, project controls, clients and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Lead and manage multidisciplinary construction teams and subcontractors.
      • Ensure construction activities are delivered safely, to approved designs, quality standards and programme.
      • Coordinate construction activities with engineering, commissioning, commercial and project controls teams.
      • Monitor progress and provide construction reporting and assurance.
      • Manage construction planning, site logistics, resources, plant and materials.
      • Ensure compliance with CDM, H&S and project procedures.
      • Develop and approve construction documentation including SSOW and Construction Phase Plans.
      • Manage interfaces between the client, contractors, design authorities and other stakeholders.

      Essential Experience

      • Significant experience in a Senior Construction Management role.
      • Strong knowledge of construction contracts and CDM Regulations.
      • Experience delivering major new-build projects.
      • Full project lifecycle and multidisciplinary construction experience.
      • Good understanding of HSG 65.
      • Engineering degree or equivalent.
      • IOSH qualification.

      Desirable

      • Nuclear new-build experience.
      • Knowledge of nuclear site licence requirements.
      • Experience working with crane schemes on highly regulated sites.
      • NEBOSH.
      • Master’s degree in Engineering.
