CAD Engineer (Nuclear)

Rate: c£35.00 per hour (Outside IR35)
Location: Bristol (Hybrid)
Contract: Initial 12-month contract

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for 1 x CAD Engineer to support the delivery of major UK nuclear projects. Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, you’ll be responsible for producing and developing 3D design models for electrical installation and cable routing packages.

This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level CAD Engineer looking to develop their experience within a major nuclear engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Produce and develop 3D CAD models for electrical installation and cable routing packages.
• Support the design and coordination of cable routing and cable tray layouts within a multidisciplinary environment.
• Ensure designs comply with project, quality and nuclear industry standards.
• Assist with resolving design clashes and developing practical engineering solutions.
• Support design reviews and provide technical input throughout project delivery.
• Work closely with engineers and other members of the design team to deliver project requirements.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a CAD Engineer / Designer within the nuclear, engineering or similar highly regulated sector.
• Experience working with 3D CAD / modelling software.
• AVEVA or PDMS experience is preferred, but candidates with strong transferable CAD experience will also be considered.
• Experience producing 3D design models for electrical or multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Understanding of cable routing, cable tray layouts and/or BIM coordination would be beneficial.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Candidates with less experience but strong CAD capability are encouraged to apply.
