Location: Kent Reservoir Site
Rate: £450 per day
Contract: Outside IR35
Duration: 6-Month Rolling Contract
We are currently seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to support delivery works on a major reservoir project in Kent. This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term infrastructure scheme working within the clean water sector on a high-profile programme of works.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the commissioning, testing, and handover of mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring all assets are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with client specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee commissioning activities across MEICA systems
- Develop and implement commissioning plans and procedures
- Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, and client representatives
- Carry out functional testing, fault finding, and system validation
- Ensure all commissioning documentation is completed accurately
- Support pre-commissioning and handover activities
- Attend progress meetings and provide technical commissioning support
- Ensure all works are carried out in line with health & safety procedures and water industry standards
Requirements
- Previous commissioning experience within the water or utilities sector
- Strong MEICA commissioning background
- Experience working on reservoirs, treatment works, or pumping stations preferred
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- CSCS Card essential
- EUSR Water Hygiene preferred
- SMSTS or SSSTS advantageous
