      Quantity Surveyor – Water Sector

      Location: Walsall – office-based, supporting projects across the Severn Trent Water region
      Rate: £400-£420 per day
      Contract: Outside IR35
      Start: ASAP

      We are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a growing delivery team working on a range of water and wastewater projects across the Severn Trent Water region.

      Based from the Walsall office, you will support the commercial management of projects throughout their lifecycle, working closely with Project Managers, Site Teams, Subcontractors and the wider commercial team.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Managing the commercial and contractual aspects of water and wastewater projects.

      • Preparing and managing project cost reports, forecasts and budgets.

      • Managing subcontract procurement, packages and payments.

      • Preparing and submitting valuations and applications for payment.

      • Identifying, managing and pricing variations and change.

      • Supporting the preparation and agreement of final accounts.

      • Monitoring project costs and reporting commercial performance.

      • Managing contractual notices and ensuring compliance with project requirements.

      • Working closely with operational teams to identify commercial risks and opportunities.

      • Supporting the delivery of multiple projects across the Severn Trent Water framework.

      Requirements

      • Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor.

      • Experience within the water, wastewater, utilities or wider infrastructure sector is essential.

      • Strong understanding of NEC contracts.

      • Experience managing subcontractors, valuations, variations and final accounts.

      • Strong commercial and financial reporting skills.

      • Ability to work collaboratively with operational and project delivery teams.

      • Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline is desirable.

      This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to secure a long-term contract supporting a busy programme of water infrastructure projects across the Severn Trent region.

      Rate: £400-£420 per day Outside IR35
      Location: Walsall office, supporting Severn Trent projects
