    Senior Stress Engineer

    £54 per hour | Outside IR35
    4-Day Working Week | Hybrid (2 Days Office / 2 Days Remote)
    We’re recruiting for an experienced Senior Stress Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering team working on complex mechanical design projects.

    The Role

    • Produce and review stress calculations and analysis reports.
    • Carry out classical hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
    • Support design teams with technical guidance and design improvements.
    • Review subcontractor work and liaise with clients.
    • Mentor junior engineers and support project delivery.

    Requirements

    • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar).
    • Minimum 5 years’ stress analysis experience.
    • Strong experience with FEA, ANSYS and Mathcad.
    • Knowledge of BS 2573, BS EN 13001, BS EN 1090 and Structural Eurocodes.
    • Excellent technical reporting skills.
    • Previous experience in a similar role.

    Desirable:

    • Chartered Engineer (or working towards).
    • Nuclear or seismic analysis experience.
    • Autodesk Inventor experience.
