Site Supervisor – Water Project
Location: Durham
Rate: £350-£400 per day
IR35: Outside IR35
Start: By the end of October
Duration: Contract
We are currently looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to work on a water project in Durham, with a start required by the end of October.
The successful candidate will have previous experience supervising works on water or wastewater projects, with responsibility for overseeing site activities, subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise day-to-day site activities across the water project.
Manage and coordinate subcontractors and site operatives.
Ensure works are carried out safely and in accordance with RAMS and project requirements.
Monitor progress against the programme and report any issues or delays.
Conduct toolbox talks, briefings and site inductions where required.
Ensure quality standards and ITP requirements are maintained.
Liaise with the Site Manager, Project Manager, engineers and wider project team.
Monitor materials, plant and resources on site.
Assist with coordinating deliveries and site logistics.
Identify and resolve issues on site where possible, escalating when required.
Ensure all necessary site documentation is completed accurately.
Maintain a strong focus on health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Site Supervisor on water or wastewater projects.
Strong understanding of construction site processes and procedures.
Experience supervising subcontractors and site teams.
Ability to read and understand RAMS, drawings and project documentation.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage site activities effectively.
SSSTS or SMSTS required.
CSCS/ECS required.
Relevant water industry experience and cards/tickets preferred.
