Job Title: Sub Agent – Major Pipeline Project (Southampton)

Location: Southampton, Hampshire
Contract: Multi-year contract
Rate: £450-£470 per day (Inside IR35)
Start Date: ASAP

Overview

We’re looking for an experienced Sub Agent to join a major pipeline infrastructure project in Southampton. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting delivery on site, ensuring all works are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading civil engineering contractor on a flagship project in the South.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate site operations in line with programme and specifications

• Support the Site Agent with planning, progress, and resource management

• Liaise with engineers, clients, and subcontractors to maintain smooth delivery

• Oversee quality control and site documentation

• Promote and enforce safe working practices across site

• Assist with temporary works coordination and technical issue resolution

Requirements

• SSSTS (minimum) – SMSTS desirable

• CSCS card (essential)

• Previous experience as a Sub Agent or Section Engineer on civil infrastructure or pipeline projects

• Strong understanding of construction methodology, QA, and HSE standards

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• Full UK driving licence
